This Tuesday at 11:30 am, please join us at 310 New Bern Avenue, Raleigh, for “Rally to Support Immigrants and DACA” https://www.facebook.com/events/180799549357872/
As you know, North Carolina is ground zero in the fight for our democracy. Join us at the NAACP Moral March on Saturday February 10 in Raleigh, at 8 am on Fayatteville St. https://www.facebook.com/events/1841465486167557/ This year the theme is “Taking the Resistance to the Ballot Box.”
Meanwhile, pay attention to what is happening with Mueller’s investigation. Russia interfered in our election, and part of what they want is exactly what is happening, the tearing apart of the very fabric of our democracy, disregard for our Constitution, distrust of our government and law enforcement, and general division among us. If Trump did nothing wrong he would not be so desperate to obstruct the investigation. There is going to be a rapid response if Rosenstein is replaced, Mueller is fired, or key witnesses are fired. This means millions of people will pour into the streets within hours. This is crucial. Here is the link;

Info about hearing re offshore drilling;
This is the only public hearing scheduled in North Carolina thus far. Wear blue to signify opposition to offshore drilling and bring your family and friends. Tell BOEM that we don’t want offshore drilling in our Atlantic! It’s up to all of us to protect what we love so plan to do your part. Those unable to attend should submit comments to BOEM online by March 9, 2018:

This proposal is not identical to what Obama put forward. It is much further reaching, It deletes the 50 mile buffer which means drilling operations could be conducted as close as 3 miles offshore. The safeguards proposed for blowout preventers have been derailed. Inspections of drill rig operations are being reduced. Scientists have learned much more about the harm caused by seismic testing. This proposal has even more danger for our coast than the last one. All of these facts can be stated in your public comment along with how seismic testing and drilling operations will impact your life and enjoyment of our coastline.
